I had a home day today. I didn't have to see my Probation Officer or go to my drug counseling classes. Which as usefull as some of those have bben along the way I glad to be done with them. Well, almost any way.
I recently had a positive test. I was shocked out of my mind when my PO called to tell me. I think the fact I was so overwhelmed and surprised is what kept my PO from taking me back into custody. So instead of being completely done with my drug counseling I now get to do three more months of aftercare. Not a great proposition; I'll take it over 6 months in jail or a 3 month in
-patient program.
I'm not working and I am really enjoying my Blog I started a few months ago. Starting a personal Blog seemed like a logical next step. I also am tinkering with a few more blogs, mostly outlets for different things I enjoy. So most of the day was consumed with computer work.
The small amount of time I spent away from my house was dedicated to a job interview which I was completely underwhelmed by. A portion of me knows that I really want to write for a living. That lack of a desire for a different job is bound to shine through in an interview. I don't realistically expect to get my writing off the ground fast enough to not have a day job, but I want a day job that gives me time to write. I also plan to stick with ym writing for at least a year; then I will reevaluate whether this is something I can continue to work into a full time gig.
I did break away from the computer to watch the Lakers face off against Shaq in his Phoenix debut. Great game to watch; the playoff type atmosphere was clear. I am a huge Laker fan, so the win made it even more enjoyable.
